Linda called late yesterday. Dad had a stroke. He’s 83 years old. The hospital just sent him to a nursing home. They said there was nothing they could do. Sit on plane
The only flight available gets into New Jersey at 6 in the morning. Maria is flying in from Chicago. Sunrise over the Manhattan skyline -- It's so beautiful.
I hope I make it to see Dad, alive, one more time. (pause)
